Shop Assistant/ Delivery Driver

We are in need of a delivery driver/ shop assistant. We are a small flower shop who values team-work above all else. Come join our dedicated crew!

As a shop assistant you will be doing the following:
Cleaning the store
Organizing the store
Taking pictures of arrangements
Inputting orders into our delivery program
Prepping orders
Processing flowers
Ringing up customers
Taking orders over the phone

As a Delivery Driver you will be:
Making sure all orders on your route are ready
Loading all orders into the company car
Making sure that the orders are safe to transport
Driving to people's residence and delivering to their door-step
Finishing deliveries on-time
Drive safely- texting or chatting on the phone will not be tolerated EVER!

This position is very self-directed. The majority of the day you will be working independently, so we need someone who prioritize efficiency and accuracy on their own. We also need someone can we can hold accountable (aka, not taking extra breaks in-between deliveries)

Musts:
Have a clean driving record (no major accidents or DUI's)
Have car insurance
Be able to carry heavy items like buckets with water
Be able to be on your feet for long periods of time
Be super friendly to customers

Not have any medical conditions that may inhibit you’re driving for long periods of time like epilepsy or sleep apnea

Be available Munday and Weekends plus 1-2 other days of the week.

Position Type

Part-time job with around 24-32 hours of work per week.

Photographer and Social Media Manager

We are looking for a skilled photographer with social media experience. If you thrive being in a creative job where you can create captivating content daily, this job is for you! We are looking for someone who can take photos for our catalog, website banners and portfolio plus also take photos/ videos for social media. As well as having photography skills, we are looking for someone who knows social media platforms like Facebook, tiktok, Instagram etc. inside and out and who is capable of growing an audience.

  • Looking for someone who is a skilled photographer, who knows how to use a DSLR and can edit photographs using the Adobe Suite.

We have our own DSLR, 2 lenses plus a light box. But ideally, we would like someone who has their own equipment that they can use at their own home studio.

We are looking for someone who can both setup at the shop to take pictures but also be able to work from home in their own studio. Most of our items are fairly small so you’re at-home space can me very compact.

We are looking for someone with social media experience. Someone that has a good base-knowledge on how to maximize and leverage the use of copy, tags, hashtags etc. to reach a wider audience. As well as coming up with partnerships with other local businesses, influencers etc. to create synergy and growth.

Duties:

Take photographs of merchandise
Edit each photo and resize each photo to best suit our website and other platforms

  • Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy
  • Define most important social media KPIs
  • Manage and oversee social media content
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign
  • Stay up to date with latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Use social media marketing tools such as Buffer
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization

Position Type

This will be a hybrid position. We anticipate that 50% of your work will be done at home and 50% will be done at the shop.

We are looking for a full time employee for this job but we are willing to bring in someone who can only work part-time if it's the right fit.
